DIY: Weekly Menu
I’ve been trying my hardest to cook more for my family now that Caden is older and more independent. I still struggle with it but it’s slowly getting better. I decided to make a Weekly Menu that hangs out right by our stove in hopes of helping me plan for the week. So far it’s been great!
Not only does this help with last minute unhealthy decisions but it also has helps with our grocery bill. Before we would spend RIDICULOUS amounts of money on food. So far, this has helped cut it in half. I love knowing what is planned for dinner every night, it’s one less thing I have to think about. So, if your struggling like me and end up making stupid unhealthy decisions at the very last minute because your tired or don’t have the ingredients to make dinner. Try this. It’s done wonders for me and I’m sure it will help you too!
Here’s what you need:
- Picture Frame holder
- Picture Frame
- Dry Erase Marker
- Scrapbook paper
- Letter Stickers
First I bought a picture frame holder and frame from TJ Max Home Goods. Freaking love that place. They have such cute home decor stuff for half the price.
Then I headed over to A.C. Moore craft store and got the letter stickers and scrapbook paper.
I got a couple different scrapbook backgrounds. I knew I wanted something neutral and with texture but I couldn’t make up my mind in the store; and CK was getting antsy so I just bought all three. I ended up going with the middle “weave” one.
Once I had everything I put it all together and Bam I was ready to start planning!
I love the frame and the holder but I’m not sold on the letters. I have a feeling I’ll be re-doing it once we move into our new house but for now it looks cute and it does the job!
Total:
Frame Holder – $4.99
Frame – $7.99 +
Scrapbook Paper – $.99 ea.
Letter stickers – $2.99
Dry Erase Marker – $0 (had one at home)
Total: $16.96.
An organized week under $20 bucks it’s well worth it to me! Feel free to pin this at the top of the post if you want to make one yourself!
Do you do menu planning? What do you write your menu on each week?

Great idea! I always have my meal ideas in my head, but with a 6 month old and only a limited amount of time to make dinner, I feel like having this weekly plan out in the open would be one less thing I have to remember
