Featured Friday: Grocery Gadget

Wow, I don’t know about you but weeks are flying by for me; can you believe it’s already Friday?

One of my 2012 Goals is to get organized in the kitchen. I want to cook more often, prepare more and cook different healthy foods. So far, Nate and I are doing pretty good. We started taking Sundays to do all our grocery shopping for the week and prepare anything ahead of time. Mostly cut up veggies and fruits for snacks and juices. We’re cooking more and actually planning meals ahead of time so we aren’t trying to figure out dinner at the last minute.

I have also been keeping an on-going list throughout the week so we know exactly what we need on Sunday and I’m not sitting there right before heading out to the store racking my brain on things we need. Recently I’ve been looking for a way to improve my list making. I’ve tried the white board on the fridge the  note pad, little piece of ripped paper to writing things down in my phone.

I love using my phone but I wanted to find a way to share my list with Nate so he can add stuff too. So, I started doing research and came up with a ton of options. But one that really caught my eye was Grocery Gadget.

There are 3 different levels. I opted for the middle one. It seemed to do everything that I wanted. It’s simple, easy to use. I can make multiple lists, so not only do we have our grocery list, we have errands we need to run and our want / need list. And the best part Nate can add stuff from his phone too. That way we aren’t texting or calling each other every time we need to stop at the store.

Once you get the item you check it off and it syncs with your partners phone. Which is why Nate will go to one store and I’ll go to another and it ends up cutting our shopping time in half!

I like it. And if your looking for something like this, I’d recommend looking into it too!!
