Wedding: My Bridal Shower

My bridal shower went sooo well! It was hosted by a couple of my bridesmaids and held at Kristin house. I loved having friends and family around me. And it is going to be even better at my wedding when all my friends and family can be there! We all got there and played a couple games, one was how well do you know the bride and groom and the other everyone picked a card out and it was labeled at different times, for instance before I walked down the aisle, a week before the wedding, the night before etc. and everyone wrote a little message to me and I will be getting them around my wedding. It was such a cute idea and I can’t wait to read everyone’s thoughts and advice. After that we ate some food and my friend Emily who couldn’t make it made some cookies.

She made 6 bridesmaids dresses too! So Cute!

My other friend Deena made these favors with blue and silver m&ms with Susan Shower, and my shower date on them. These girls had blue drinks, and my mom had blue paper plates, napkins and silverware, and luggage tag favors … all the details were so cute and I couldn’t ask for more. I got more than enough presents! I loved all of them but my favorite is a cooking book my mom put together for me and had all of our “new” families recipes. There are recipes from my Mom, Grandmother, aunts, sister in law as well as Nate’s mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and sister in law. It is so awesome to be able to have that and add to it with our recipes and give it to our children one day. That book will definitely be in the family to come. And to know that everyone took out time to get those for me is SO nice!

My mom got me this figurine 15 years ago and kept it till I got married.

After my shower my family and I went to a Mexican Restaurant for dinner. Loco Limes in Charlotte.

Then I met up with all the girls for a night out on the town.

All but 2 of my bridesmaids ... love these girls

Cheers to 5 months!

Overall, I had a great time with my girls and family! I couldn’t ask for more! Now that everyone is gone it’s back to the grind, working on my new business and getting things wrapped up for the big day! But first I’m really looking forward to having all of my bridesmaids here for my bachelorette party in July!
