This past Sunday we had a family day and decided to take Caden to his first pumpkin patch. We headed up to Patterson Farm up in Mooresville, NC.
They had all sorts of stuff going on.
- Tomato sling shot
- Corn Pit (just like a ball or sand pit but full of corn)
- Swings sets and playgrounds
- Tires to play on
- Little Tractor track for kids to ride tractors
- They can feed farm animals, goats, bunnies, chicken, ponies
- Pony Rides
- Train rides
- pig races
- Make their own scarecrows
- Face painting
- Mini corn maze
Look how cute that tractor track is behind Nate in this picture. The kids were loving it.
The start of the pig races.
While Caden was eating I snapped a few pictures …
Check out the mini corn maze.
And one of the playgrounds
Caden even got to be a little piggy
Although Caden couldn’t really enjoy all the festivities he did enjoy watching all the other kids run around and play. We tried taking him to see the animals since he’s so into Kala right now but he got startled by something or someone and started crying so that didn’t last long. I’m really looking forward to going back again next year when he’s a little more mobile and independent.
But … I can see Patterson Farm becoming a nice little fall tradition for our family.
What Fall traditions do you have with your family?
