Play Date and Dinner Date … Oh my!

Don’t you hate that whenever you really need your baby to nap they refuse. And of course the days that you don’t care, they sleep for HOURS. Yesterday was a packed day for us and of course CK refused to take his morning nap which I thought was going to make the rest of the day a disaster. Luckily I was wrong.

We had a couple moms and babies over for a little play date yesterday at the house. I wanted to get CK down before they came over so he was refreshed for his little friends but I don’t know if it was his teeth or if he just wasn’t tired but it wasn’t happening.

He finally ended up sleeping on our way to lunch. We took a stroll (no pun intended) to a restaurant up the street called eeZ Fusion and Sushi. Nate and I love this place and go here pretty frequently.

5 moms, 5 babies and 5 strollers … yep we all fit. Not so much in this picture but the table was great.  You might recognize a couple of these ladies … Jenny, Jen, Cindi and Brittany and me. All the babies did so well at lunch and it was great to catch up and have mommy talk.

After that we took a stroll back to my house and let the babies play a little bit in our bonus room, which we have turned into a big childproof play area. It’s been great and perfect for these occasions.

I still got a couple more Pinterest projects in the works for the room but it’s coming together nicely!

Once everyone left and CK passed out from all the fun. I started getting ready to go out with Nate on our dinner date to celebrate his birthday at Ruth Chris. We love that place and the last time we went there was when I was pregnant with Caden.  They have great service and even better food! Want to see a picture of my half eaten food?

I knew you did. :) It was very good! I had the petite filet with BBQ crab on top and broccoli au gratin  … YUM. And their sweet potatoes are to die for.

Aren’t you loving these high quality professional photos :)

It was great to get out with Nate and talk and hang out again, but unfortunately as soon as we got home Caden was up. He would fall asleep and then wake up crying and he did this continuously till midnight when he finally fell asleep for a couple of hours. Poor guy I think these teeth are making him miserable. I still can’t see much but I can feel those sharp suckers.

When did your child get teeth and How long did it take for them to “show” after you can feel them?

Teething is the worst. So frustrating not getting sleep but even more frustrating that there’s so little you can do to help them stop hurting. Nothin worse as a mom than seeing your sweet baby in pain!
