The flight over wasn’t too bad. Caden did a great job especially considering how mobile he is. We let him walk around the airport for a while and as soon as those engines started CK passed out for over an hour. (Um you hear that sound machine companies, Airplanes engines .. just saying?) Once he was up we ate some snacks, watched some Mickey mouse, played with our neighbor and some toys, ate more snacks and then we landed. He started getting a little restless towards the end jumping back and forth from Nate and I and just wanted to stand up but he didn’t cry. It helped so much to have a nice guy sitting next to us interacting with him. And nice neighbors behind us playing peek a boo.
Once we landed and we got all our stuff, which by the way I’m convinced there is no way to pack light with a baby. It just doesn’t happen. We had two suitcases, a pack n play, car seat and car seat cart, stroller, two computer bags, a camera bag and a backpack diaper bag.
Anyways so after we got our rental we headed for La Jolla to check into our hotel that we’ll be staying at for the next 2 days. I love La Jolla, it’s a surfer town right on the beach just north of San Diego. We haven’t seen much of it yet but so far I’m in love.
We decided to grab something to eat over in La Jolla shores at Barbarella. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the gorgeous day and cold Stellas.
I mean the scenery is definitely something to AW about it! And anyone who knows me knows I love palm trees!
Once we got back to the room 4pm came (7pm our time) and CK was ready for bed, but it was still light out so the crankiness set in. Nate finally got the little munchkin to bed around 630 and he slept till 3am and was wide awake. So, after letting him play for an hour he fell back to sleep until 630am. Now we are up and getting ready for the day because we are heading to the Zoo!
PS: I totally forgot to tell you … CK clapped for the first time the other night!
