I am on my 5th day of P90X and I have stuck it out this whole week so far. I am so sore. I haven’t been this so in a LONG time, maybe since highschool. And I have been taking it a little easier on myself and not pushing myself so hard and I’m still sore. Right now I’m not doing as many reps as I should be doing but I want to get to know the exercises and the correct way to do them before I start upping my reps. It’s all about doing it right! If I was a regular – worker outer I probably would push myself more this week. But I haven’t exercised in a long time, well besides walking. LOL The last thing I want to do is pull a hammy or something.

But overall, P90X is awesome and it is definitely keeping my interest. I woke up yesterday and today wanting to exercise! I honestly don’t mind exercising if it’s something I enjoy doing. Running is not for me, I’ve tried doing it but gasping for air is not something I call fun. Others may and I have tons of friends who love running – it’s just not for me. I do love Yoga and I love Pilates but the problem with me is that I just can’t seem to keep myself interested in one thing. I loved Yoga in the beginning when I was in Charlotte, but then I just got bored with it, not to mention it’s expensive and doesn’t really give you cardio, which is what I lack the most. Same with Pilates it was awesome in the beginning but it just becomes so repetitive. And I don’t really feel like spending money on a gym and a special class. Yeah I know that some gyms have classes too but I don’t feel like they are the same. At least the gyms that I have been to. But P90X is like having your cake and eating it too. Each day is something new, and I think this program is really going to keep my interest. It is hard, don’t get me wrong and it surely works you out, but the time goes by so fast because you are switching up exercises constantly. Not to mention the guy that teaches you (I can’t remember his name) is funny. I find myself laughing sometimes. It is really enjoyable and I am happy to start this and excited to get into shape. I would recommend it to anyone!
I will keep you posted on my progress and maybe show you some before or after pictures
