Watch Him Grow: 15 Months

September 14, 2012 | By More

It’s been over 3 months since I’ve done a Watch Me Grow post on Caden and it’s well over due. It’s amazing how much has changed and how much he’s learned in just 3 short months. Warning: This post is quite lengthy, and has quite a few pictures and videos. All the videos are labeled  so just click on the link! Enjoy!

  • Height 50-75% 31.5 inches
  • Weight 50-75% 25 lbs.
  • 9 teeth total. His 2nd upper molar just recently popped through and his bottom molars are just about there. They should pop through any day now.

  • He didn’t cry at all with his shots, the nurse and I looked at each other in amazement. He didn’t even wince, like nothing at all. Did I give birth to Superman?

  • 12-18 and 18-24 month clothing
  • size 5 shoe
  • He’s on his 4th haircut. His hair grows so fast and is super thick in the back. He’s averaging a haircut every month.

  • Wakes up between 6-7:30am, drinks some milk.
  • Breakfast around 8-9am
  • Snack and Milk / water before his nap
  • Takes his first nap (most of the time) anywhere from 10-11am depending on when he wakes up in the morning
  • Lunch at Noon
  • Snack around 2-2:30pm
  • Takes his second more towards 3-4pm and will sleep for about an hour or two.
  • Dinner around 5pm
  • Milk around 6:30pm
  • Bath around 7-7:30pm
  • PJs, Read Books and Bed by 7:30-8pm

  • Favorites: He loves a lot of different foods. I wouldn’t say he actually has a favorite but he does really like spaghetti and corn on the cob.

  • He has tried Peanut Butter and Nutella and loves them both.
  • He takes after his momma and loves ice cream.
  • He drops less food on the ground and is using his fork and spoon a lot more.
  • Overall, he’s a pretty good eater. He’ll eat most veggies and he really likes all fruit.

Travels / Adventures:

  • Folly Beach for a week long Family vacation
  • Zootastic Park, Mooresville NC

  • Ohio to visit Nana and Papa Joe

  • Mastered the stairs, usually goes down backwards but starting to get brave and go down forwards.
  • He’s taking his first swim lessons. He really likes when they sing songs and when he gets to jump into the pool from the side.
  • When you say Soooo big he throws his hands up in the air.
  • Goes down the slide all by himself {video}
  • He’s a Big Climber, climbs on everything including our kitchen table and chairs!

  • Drinks and says Ahhh!
  • He dunks the basketball. {Video}
  • Takes my brush and brushes his hair. He’ll also come over to me and brush my hair.
  • He’ll take his shoes or shirt and push it against his feet (shoes) or his chest (shirt) likes he’s trying to put it on. He knows that socks go on his feet.

  • Basically he has his own language right now. I can understand what he is saying but other people can’t.
  • He’s at the frustration stage where he understands everything but just doesn’t know how to say it.
  • He says Momma, Dadda, Kala, doggie, Hey, and Hi.
  • He’s starting to say and sign all done.
  • Talks on everything like it is a phone {Video} He says Hey Dadda, then he says Hi.

  • The boat.

  • Being launched off our big bean bag. He’s obsessed!
  • He loves chasing Kala {Video}
  • He loves to push around the baby stroller, more on this next week

  • He’s obsessed with the iPad.
  • His favorite show is probably Chuggington; although he also likes the Backyardigans, Higgly Town Heros, Mickey Mouse and Toy Story 2.
  • His blanket. When he is tired he’ll put his face in it and carry it all around the house. My mom calls him Linus from Charlie Brown.
  • Loves Music {Video}
  • Being outside and playing with the hose

Everyday I notice something new that he’s doing or saying and it’s so fascinating to me. Just earlier today, he was walking around the house having a full blown conversation on the monitor like it was a phone. Yes, the monitor. Who he was talking to, I’m not sure. Ha-Ha. He’s a riot and I feel so blessed to be able to stay home and catch all these great moments.

I hope you enjoyed the update, now I got to get back to business! This weekend is a very exciting weekend for us and I can’t wait to tell you all about it next week!

Have a fabulous weekend!
