We are finally here in this lovely, blistering cold state of Ohio!

We left for our road trip yesterday at about 430am. I figured it would be best to try and leave as early as possible so Caden would sleep most of the way. I was right. He ended up sleeping the majority of the trip. Which was great. The last hour, not so great. Caden was super fussy and was just sick of being in the car seat with Kala’s bad breath all up in his face. I don’t blame him. I was exhausted and just wanted out myself.
The overall trip took about 9 hours which isn’t too bad considering we took a couple pit stops.
Can we just talk about pit stops. I never appreciated a nice quick pit stop until now. I had Caden of course, but I also had Kala with me. So I would have to get CK all bundled up and put him in his stroller; because well, I can’t pee, hold a diaper bag and baby all at the same time. I mean I’m pretty good at multi tasking; but not THAT good. Then I would get a leash on Kala, walk him. Put him back in the car and then take CK in to use the restroom and change his diaper. Can we say PRODUCTION much.

We did pretty good with what we were working with. But I may try and leave slightly earlier on the way back to try and get in another hour of sleep for CK. We’ll see, 430am is pretty freaking early!
What’s the earliest time you have left in the morning on a road trip?

Go you mama! That sounds like a tough trip, but hopefully worth it! Enjoy.

Thanks .. yeah it wasn’t the best but we made it
I’m starting to get nervous for our 8 hour roadtrip. Glad it wasn’t too bad! Hope I can convince my hubby that we need to leave that early too – better to be there by 1 then to drive the entire day! Have fun, see ya when you get back!
Def. leave early! The more they sleep the better! lol! Good Luck!
