So it’s now Wednesday September 8th and we have been married for 4 days now. The commotion and the excitement is starting to settle, all of our friends and family have gone back home except for my mom and Joe, they leave tomorrow morning. It’s funny it’s ending the exactly the same way we started being the only ones down here before our whole crew came in.
I will have to say this has been the best weekend of my life, it started last Saturday as we made our way down to Charleston with our packed cars. Tuesday was when our first family members came down, Nonnie, Papa, Dad, Anne, Trey – so we went to their beach house sat under the stars, drank some wine and talked about how excited everyone was for the wedding and when everyone was coming down. Wednesday we had Nate’s mom come in as well as Mark and Deena and my brother Dave. We went out to eat, drank again, talked and told some stories; it was a nice time catching up especially with my bro Dave. Thursday, my mom and Nate’s Hawaii family came into town and we went to the Hawaii families house and hung out drank again and ate some pizza. Then Friday came along and everyone came down for that and we all went to the beach and hung out.
We got some cornhole boards from Dan, Jen that were Michigan / Ohio State along with some Michigan / Ohio State bags from KC, Jon. Some people got to break them in real quick.
we went to rehearsal and then to Sticky Fingers for rehearsal. It was super hot, because the A/C broke but the food was good and we still had a good time. Nate and I got iced, gave out some presents and Nate had a nice speech prepared. I on the other hand did not, but it went well anyways. We headed back to Folly Beach and ended up going to the Kennedy’s for a little bit of a show. Pete (Nate’s sister’s husband) is a fire knife dancer in Hawaii. He was so nice to bring all of his stuff and do a little performance for us. Everyone loved it and I’m so happy everyone got to see it because it’s pretty amazing!

Once he was finished everyone got to hold the fire … my brother was a little too excited! Ha ..

After our private performance Nate had left and I left a little after, we slept in different places of course the night before our wedding and our families ended up staying and playing charades and handing out! It was so awesome to have 2 wonderful families come together and enjoy hanging out so much! It was really such a great feeling.
