What I Learned this Weekend.
- It’s Nip it in the Bud not Nip it in the Butt. In my Breaking the Habits post you might have noticed that I said a certain little saying. “Nip it in the butt”. I thought I was saying this correctly but thanks to a nice reader, Jessi she informed me it was Bud not butt. After turning to Google and the Urban dictionary I realized it stems (he-he) from a gardening term. To stop something from getting bigger you nip it in the bud like nipping (cutting) a flower at the bud before it blooms. huh, who knew!
- Toy stores make for a great activity for the kiddos. I had to pick up a couple toys for some birthday parties coming up and CK came with me. He’s been to the toy store with me before but this was the first time he’s been out of the cart and free to roam around. I wish I had it on video. He was so excited, squealing at all the toys. He went straight towards all the Micky Mouse stuff, which proved that I have picked the perfect party theme for him. So, note to self if it’s rainy outside and we just need to get out of the house, the toy store might make the perfect trip.
- Babies get sea legs too. I swear CK woke up with some sea legs this morning. We were out on the boat yesterday and it was pretty choppy since there were a lot of boats out. I was feeling a little “wavy” last night and even this morning when I woke up. CK just seems really off balanced today. He’s getting better as the day goes on but he hasn’t fallen this much since he started walking!
- I think it’s time for another DIY Pin. I’m thinking a birthday wreath. Post coming soon, hopefully this week!
